I thought I'd go back through my archives and pull a few songs from the distant past and plop'em on MP3. "Awhile To Mend" and "Winding Down" are both from my 1989 LP "Pennies". I don't perform any of these songs anymore and the LP is out of print... but maybe a few cuts have the right to live! The "Pennies" sessions were a lot of fun 'cause a few of my famous friends came down to help out. First and foremost... drummer extrodinare Rob Morgenstein (The Dregs) is joined by fellow Steve Morse Band alumni Jerry Peek on bass. That team is hard to beat. Pat Buchanan (Cyndi Lauper, Marshall Crenshaw) covers most of the electric guitar parts. The super talented Randy Hoexter is on harmonium. Bill Hatcher stacks up the big bed of acoustics. As Mark Twain once said, "If you like that sort of thing, it is the sort of thing that you will like."
